Chapter 16 - Guilt/doubt |
| |
1. |
Nothing rattles our image of the future more than doubt.
2. |
That we might fail |
3. |
That we might never succeed
4. |
That the odds are too high can kill our dreams.
5. |
For there is much to doubt.
6. |
Our dream is only a dream.
7. |
Our hope is only hope.
8. |
In our mind, our dreams and our hopes may be real, but to the world, to “reality” we find no consideration.
9. |
For in spite of our hopes and our dreams, the daily grind of life continues.
10. |
Those who wish to hurt us, still hurt us.
11. |
The problems of life still come.
12. |
And as we dream of a better future, it seems we are being pulled further and further down.
13. |
And yet do we remember what we have learnt when we doubt?
14. |
Do we remember the understandings of life, of reality, of awareness?
15. |
How can these things helps us at a time when every question seems to lead to the darkness of fear?
16. |
For if we recall, for a moment, that awareness has no mass, only ideas have mass, ideas are awareness in motion.
17. |
Motion is energy, energy is pure idea
18. |
For what is life without hope and without dreams?
19. |
The rich will surely die as the poor.
20. |
But the person who lives a rich life, surely has something most precious.
21. |
In life it is the doing that counts, not the end points.
22. |
In life there are no end points.
23. |
That we dare to dream is surely a great gift.
24. |
That we create is our strength.
25. |
To live one crowded glorious hour is worth a lifetime without reason.
26. |
So in expelling doubt as we gather motion, let us never lose sight of the beauty of life, of the beauty of living.
27. |
That we try, rather than never tried at all is our greatest victory.
