Chapter 12 - Dishonesty |
| |
1. |
Dishonesty is denial. |
2. |
Denial of self. |
3. |
Hiding of self. |
4. |
Dishonesty is delusion. |
5. |
The projection of an illusion to the truth of events.
6. |
The need to remember two.
7. |
To be split in mind in two.
8. |
The separate into two dual realities.
9. |
The one that is true.
10. |
The one that is a lie. |
11. |
To place oneself in perpetual conflict.
12. |
Dishonesty is not a trait. |
13. |
Nor is dishonesty an act. |
14. |
It is a belief based on a prime belief. |
15. |
A belief in lies being true is always at the core of dishonest actions. |
16. |
That is is acceptable to lie to others in the name of a religion, or community. |
17. |
That is is acceptable to lie to a partner, if it is a tradition of culture to do so. |
18. |
Our lies therefore are based on these twisted beliefs. |
19. |
Beliefs that themselves are lies. |
20. |
Only when we free ourselves of believing dishonest beliefs, |
21. |
Beliefs based on deliberate ignorance, |
22. |
Beliefs based on deliberate lies, |
23. |
can we ourselves be free of dishonesty. |
24. |
For when a mind is free of beliefs that are based on deliberate ignorance, |
25. |
when a mind is free from beliefs in absurd and childish lies, |
26. |
then such a mind is free from the cause of dishonesty. |
