Chapter 11 - Veneration |

Funeral rights have existing within human cultures for thousands of years.
|
|
2. |
The veneration and respect in burying or burning the dead is considered a most sacred ritual in virtually every culture.
|
|
3. |
Such is the celebration of Veneration.
|
|
4. |
To regard with respect, reverence and heartfelt deference.
|
|
5. |
A ceremony held as soon after a person has died and the body has been properly released for burial rites by the next of kin.
|
|
6. |
At this moment, we call on UNITAS, GAL, SOL, GAIA, CORPUS, ANIMUS and AEON. |
|
7. |
We call by name GAIA, that which is the Earth to which we return the remains of (name).
|
|
8. |
We call by name CORPUS the unique awareness that is life to which we return the experience of the life of (name).
|
|
9. |
We call by name ANIMUS, the unique singular that is humanity to which we return the immortal mind of (name).
|
|
10. |
We call by name AEON, the ancestors and guardians to which we return our brother/sister (name) into your care.
|
|
11. |
Grant us your grace and hear our call.
|
|
12. |
We recognise this day our brother/sister (name) recently departed.
|
|
13. |
They came into this world (year) to (parents).
|
|
14. |
They lived a good life with (family) having then departed (date of death).
|
|
15. |
We recognise this day those family members here present, those friends and acquaintances present to venerate (name)
|
|
16. |
May the grace and wisdom of GAIA, ANIMUS and the AEON purify the immortal mind of (name).
|
|
17. |
May your grace free (name) from any bonds holding them to mortal Earth and mortal beings.
|
|
18. |
May your grace free (name) from any regrets or unfinished business.
|
|
19. |
May (name) be granted forgiveness for any actions that may have harmed others.
|
|
20. |
May (name) be granted forgiveness for any ill thoughts towards others.
|
|
21. |
May you help of us here to find peace and understanding in the passing-on of (name).
