Electoral Code |

By this Covenant a Electoral Code shall be formed. All existing and new Law(s) prescribing elections, electoral systems, voting, candidates and selection of officials shall be subject to inclusion in the Electoral Code. |

| 137.2 |
Purpose and Function of Electoral Code |
|
| |
The Electoral Code shall function as the summary of Law in all matters of elections and voting at all levels of One-Spirit-Tribe. |
|
| |
The Electoral Code must reflect all clauses and articles of this Covenant that refer to Election law. Furthermore, no Law is permitted to exist within the Electoral Code that directly contradicts a clause of the Covenant of One-Spirit-Tribe. |
|
| |
The Electoral Code is to be the first reference to all Election and voting matters and only the Supreme Court is permitted to refer to the Covenant directly in cases of dispute concerning Election Law. |

Structure of the Electoral Code

The Electoral Code shall be structured into chapters, which in turn are divided into articles and then one or more clauses within each article. |

Interpretation of the Electoral Code
|

| |
While an article may belong to a particular chapter, the numbering of all articles is consecutive so that the entire body of articles of the Electoral Code may be read as one, with or without the chapter headings. |

Amendment of the Electoral Code
|
|
| |
The Electoral Code may be amended from time to time by the addition, or removal of certain Law(s) as passed by the Supreme Council according to its proper authority as defined by this Covenant. |
