  Article 31- Human celebration
31.1 Human celebration
Human beings have celebrated life and performed official ceremonies surrounding major life events since the dawn of time. Because of the significance of such events as birth, marriage and death, virtually all civilizations have had formal rituals surrounding these occassions to highlight their significance and provide a context.
Celebration and ceremony are natural parts of being human. A life without such official events would be a sad and lonely existence, for even if we do not agree with a cultures ceremonies and rituals, they represent the backbone of unique cultural and family identity.
31.2 Respect of traditional ceremonies and celebrations
By this constitution, all traditional ceremonies and celebrations of Hinduism and Buddhism are respected, venerated and to continue to be incorporated as active cultural heritage in the context of the structure of the Great Orders of Wisdom, Austerity and Life.
While this constitution outlines a range of fundamental celebrations and ceremonies that shall represent the primary and most important ceremonies of One-Spirit-Tribe, all pre-existing ceremonies that the Supreme Council has validated as being sacred and venerable shall continue to be recognized and listed as official celebrations.
31.3 Official Celebrations
The Supreme Council shall prepare and manage an official calendar of celebration events, their name, their cultural origin and the extent to which the event shall be recognized with any publicly funded events or day of veneration or holiday.
